The FCA has launched a review of current hybrid working arrangements that affect us all.
The CEO has given welcome assurances that for the vast majority of us, there will be few changes to our current 40% in-office requirements. However, the organisation recently brought this up to 80% and 100% in local areas with short-notice and no consultation. Stricter measures are being taken to track and enforce office attendance. We think there can be improvements in how and when flexible working adjustments are made.
This means it matters getting the Hybrid Working Review right.
That’s why we’re running this survey. It builds on what members have shared at our Branch meetings, and from our case work, so we can make sure we are fully representing your views.
This also helps us set the bar the organisation needs to meet in outlining its business needs and thoroughly evidencing how their hybrid working proposals deliver best practice in meeting them.
We’re also making the case for staff to secure trade union recognition at the FCA and PSR. This would require the organisation to negotiate and bargain with staff reps on terms and conditions like hybrid working, rather than simply consult them. This would bring staff representation here in line with almost every other public sector workplace in the UK when making decisions about hybrid working.
