DESCRIPTION:Shape the future of Hybrid working at the FCA and PSR. \n\n\n\n\nThis survey is now closed.  \n\n\n\n\nThe FCA has launched a review of current hybrid working arrangements that affect us all. \n\n\n\nThe CEO has given welcome assurances that for the vast majority of us\, there will be few changes to our current 40% in-office requirements. However\, the organisation recently brought this up to 80% and 100% in local areas with short-notice and no consultation. Stricter measures are being taken to track and enforce office attendance. We think there can be improvements in how and when flexible working adjustments are made. \n\n\n\nThis means it matters getting the Hybrid Working Review right. \n\n\n\nThat’s why we’re running this survey.  It builds on what members have shared at our Branch meetings\, and from our case work\, so we can make sure we are fully representing your views. \n\n\n\nThis also helps us set the bar the organisation needs to meet in outlining its business needs and thoroughly evidencing how their hybrid working proposals deliver best practice in meeting them. \n\n\n\nWe’re also making the case for staff to secure trade union recognition at the FCA and PSR. This would require the organisation to negotiate and bargain with staff reps on terms and conditions like hybrid working\, rather than simply consult them. This would bring staff representation here in line with almost every other public sector workplace in the UK when making decisions about hybrid working. If you’d like to support this\, let us know in the survey – we can’t get recognition without you and it’s your right to support and ask for union representation.

This decision was taken without any staff consultation\, makes little adjustment for the cost-of-living crisis\, and leaves a lot of staff with difficult decisions to take for their careers and livelihoods. \n\n\n\nThis Town Hall is for all FCA and PSR staff to come together and discuss how this has affected you\, how this has made you feel\, and what you think we\, as your Union\, should do next. \n\n\n\nYou do not have to be a member of Unite the Union to join our Town Hall – we strongly encourage all staff to attend regardless of membership\, how long you’ve worked here\, or which office you’re based at. We agree and believe that all staff\, not ExCo (not even the Union) should have the final say on Union recognition.For an improved ‘offer’. Most staff are now facing punishing pay cuts during a historic cost of living crisis. We want to improvements in the ‘offer’ for those worse hit so their careers\, livelihoods and mortgages aren’t thrown into doubt.For fairer way to review performance. Grading to the curve is discriminatory and unfair\, costing staff who receive a 1 or 2 up to 20% of their base salary.
