SUMMARY:Unite the FCA Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join our all-staff Town Hall as we discuss the FCA’s proposed pay for 2023\, how you’ve been affected and how we\, as a Union\, should respond.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen and where\n\n\n\nDate and time\n\n\n\nWed\, 8 Feb 2023\, 17:30 GMT \n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nOnline \n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nThe FCA have announced their decision on staff pay for 2023. This decision was taken without any staff consultation\, makes little adjustment for the cost-of-living crisis\, and leaves a lot of staff with difficult decisions to take for their careers and livelihoods. \n\n\n\nThis Town Hall is for all FCA and PSR staff to come together and discuss how this has affected you\, how this has made you feel\, and what you think we\, as your Union\, should do next. \n\n\n\nYou do not have to be a member of Unite the Union to join our Town Hall – we strongly encourage all staff to attend regardless of membership\, how long you’ve worked here\, or which office you’re based at. However\, the more members we have\, the stronger our voice on pay and the better your protections in the workplace. You can join Unite the Union here today. \n\n\n\nWe believe the recent announcement significantly and permanently devalues the FCA workforce and stands in stark contrast to their commitments on staff representation made only last month. \n\n\n\nLast year harsh absolute pay cuts\, lack of staff representation\, and reduced conditions and benefits saw staff have no choice but take industrial action for the first time in the FCA’s history. Whilst we always consider industrial action a last resort\, we’re concerned that\, despite explicit commitments made to staff in the wake of such action\, the FCA has not delivered progress on any of these issues to date. \n\n\n\nYou voice will make a difference in what we do next – so please do join. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you’re not yet a member of Unite\, you can also join our Branch Newsletter mailing list by emailing uniteatfca@gmail.com to opt in.

SUMMARY:Unite at FCA Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Register here. \n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nOn 27 June Unite at the FCA called a pause to the first Industrial Action in the FCA and PSR’s history. \n\n\n\nWe’re inviting all staff to attend our Unite the FCA Town Hall to find out more about our campaign to secure a voice and fairer working conditions for colleagues. This is your opportunity to ask questions and give feedback to the elected Branch Officers (FCA and PSR staff) hosting the Town Hall. \n\n\n\nWhilst we’re willing to negotiate and reach a compromise\, the ball is now in ExCos’ court to come to the table and find a solution that will end the dispute. The strikes\, compounded by working to rule\, have had a significant impact on operations across the FCA. Responsible leadership can’t ignore this and shouldn’t ignore their staff. \n\n\n\nThis Town Hall is open to all colleagues\, regardless of whether you’re a member of a Union or not. We want to ensure you have the information you need to understand what’s happening\, what it means for you and if you would like to join us.

SUMMARY:Industrial Action
DESCRIPTION:What are we taking Industrial Action for? \n\n\n\nTo confirm a ballot on Union recognition. Nikhil Rathi has admitted that the current for of staff representation isn’t working and change is needed. We agree and believe that all staff\, not ExCo (not even the Union) should have the final say on Union recognition. For an improved ‘offer’. Most staff are now facing punishing pay cuts during a historic cost of living crisis. We want to improvements in the ‘offer’ for those worse hit so their careers\, livelihoods and mortgages aren’t thrown into doubt. For fairer way to review performance. Grading to the curve is discriminatory and unfair\, costing staff who receive a 1 or 2 up to 20% of their base salary. We believe staff should be graded on their performance\, not according to targets.\n\n\n\nWhilst we’re willing to negotiate and reach a compromise\, the ball is now in ExCos’ court to come to the table and find a solution that will end the dispute. The strikes\, compounded by working to rule\, have had a significant impact on operations across the FCA. Responsible leadership can’t ignore this and shouldn’t ignore their staff. \n\n\n\nMany colleagues who are not members of Unite took part in the strikes and are now working to rule. You have the same rights to participate in industrial action as Union members\, find out more about your rights in the workplace on the Government website here. \n\n\n\n————————————————————————– \n\n\n\nEmail us at uniteatfca@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to sign up to our weekly Newsletter. \n\n\n\nClick here to read more about why we’re taking Industrial Action. \n\n\n\nClick here to read the testimonies of staff who have been impacted by the FCA’s ‘offer’. \n\n\n\nOur website also has more information on taking part in the strikes and working to rule.
